Hike up your tube socks and be a part of The 2009 Season of Layer Tennis, presented by Adobe® Creative Suite® 4. We’ll host live design competitions every Friday for twelve weeks, followed by a climactic, single-elimination championship tournament. Here’s the schedule and archives.
There are some exciting changes coming this year and Season Ticket Holders will get all the information first. Plus, Season Ticket Holders can vote on match winners, post comments, participate in remix contests and a whole lot more. All you have to do to reserve your spot is to fill out this form and you’re in.
We'll guard your email address with our lives and will only drop you a note when there's something really worth noting. Of course you can watch all the matches live without having a "Season Ticket" but trust us, it's going to be lot more fun with one.

Layer Tennis is a series of live design events on Friday afternoons presented by Adobe® Creative Suite® 4.
Two competitors swap a file back and forth in real-time, adding to and embellishing the work. Each artist gets fifteen minutes to complete a "volley" and then we post that to the site live.
The players may be designers, animators, illustrators or pretty much anything else, and they can use any tool or application they like. The match progresses volley by volley.
A third participant, a writer, provides play-by-play commentary on the action as it happens.
The match lasts for ten volleys and when it's complete, opinioned Season Ticket Holders sound off and we declare a winner. Check Tennis HQ for more information and links to past matches.
Aside from our featured match, each week we'll also be hosting live qualifying matches. These will allow a larger number of artists and designers to participate and maybe even play their way into the season-ending tournament. If you think you have the chops and would like to play, send us a link to your work, or play a practice game with a friend and send us the results. We're also accepting nominations.
