In His Sights

Type, color, imagery. Those are the components of a Layer Tennis volley. You don't need them all. Hubacek, thus far, isn't using type and his use of color is tightly restrained.

We've gone from the abstract to the specific. I love the details -- the elements from the preceding layer showing up in the cockpit gauges. It's as though our intrepid pilot is watching the match whilst he dogfights.

Is he winning? Is he in danger? Is that silhouetted bomber his target or his comrade? This one only has questions, no answers.

Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by John Gruber.

Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday. jc-12.12
