Hambone, my darling, thank you for the intelligent reply.
Allow me to be frank. While there is no such thing as a bad idea, I don't understand. Will he have see-through hands or not? Is it like in Back to the Future, when Michael J Fox's dad's sperm lose steam, altering his relationship to the universe? And if so... is it permanent or temporary?
Regardless, this is not what I had in mind. And Miramax is already releasing this, which covers all the themes in your document, but with additional nudity to help clarify the concept. I don't think the public has any great desire to see TWO films that deal in such pseudo-spiritual themes.
As you can imagine, Mr Noper's attorney advised him to take a strong position on the redrawn frame. I think his approach here is a smart solution - as you can see, he's clearly used your last note as inspiration, but interpreted it in his own way. Obviously the Donald Sutherland character is FPO, we can change the face if it ends up being someone else. Pay no mind to the shattering planet with lava spewing out, we can cover that in the sequel.
Yours as ever,
Jordi
