Back again to Braddock, PA. What's so special about Braddock, besides it being the home of the Kickstarter project that Greg's playing for?
Hold that thought! I just received word from Coudal HQ: If you donate to either Greg or Frank's project (or both) and tweet about it with the hashtag #lyt, Coudal will throw your name in a hat, and at the end of the match they'll pick out some lucky winners who will receive a big load of Field Notes gear and even some posters and stuff from the designers. So get donating!
Anyway, back to Braddock: what's special about Braddock? Three things picked from its Wikipedia page:
1. Its first industrial facility was a barrel plant.
2. The first A&P supermarket was opened in Braddock.
3. It gave us Vernon Irvin, Chief Marketing Officer for XM Satellite Radio.
(WTF, Wikipedia. Really? Come on, how likely is it that Vernon Irvin added his own name to this page?)
I'm sure Braddock is wonderful and there is much more to define it uniquely, but what's special about Greg's salvo here? To me, not much. Maybe I just hate nostalgia and sepia tones, but I will call this round earnest and easy. To revel in assonance, it does not seem very earned. I.e., I don't see the designer putting much sweat into the work, and I am not sweating (in a good or bad way) after staring at it for two minutes.
Vernon Irvin makes someone sweat. His wife, his husband, whatever, someone has a lot of love for the guy. But anyone reading Wikipedia won't get that. Am I the only one who wishes Greg had made me love Braddock more in this round?
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Rosecrans Baldwin.

Cast your votes on The Championship Match. Both Finalists will receive invitations to play in the post-season tournament for Season Four.
Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday.
