It Ain’t Meat, Babe

This volley may seem like a mere play on words, a simple pun on the word “bacon,” but in truth, this gets to the heart of true horror; what William Burroughs describes as The Naked Lunch:

A frozen moment when everyone sees what is on the end of every fork.

Is it not strange that we raise our offspring with furry companions that are plush anthropomorphised versions of the same animals that we feed to our children at the breakfast table? Is it not a sick and twisted society in which we pay money to see a movie featuring a porcine hero with moxie while we chow down on hot dogs?

These would be intractable moral dilemmas were it not for the undeniable fact that bacon is so damn tasty.

Olly knows what he’s doing here. The words might say Babe but the profile view of the tasty, tasty pig screams Delicatessen.

This is an understated volley, but it gets under your skin …your oh-so-tasty longpork skin, cooked to crackling perfection.

They eat horses, don’t they?

Oh.
