Friendship? Friendship?

Now this is what I like to see. Mig and Jessica, bloodied and battered, look at each other and say: How did it come to this.

They laugh and embrace, they adjust the levels of their relationship, to stretch a Photoshop metaphor past the breaking point, and they Command-Q out of this competition and back into their normal lives. As should we all.

And yet. And yet. There will come a time when the two of them are out for a night on the town, working their way through a tray of Popov Jell-O, and they'll catch each other's eyes — just for a moment! — and they'll remember. They'll remember the horrible things they said and did. And a cold silence will fall upon the evening, and a cold chill will fall upon their souls.
