Oh my. What a shot.
Let’s count the ways this shot works:
It’s a strong continuation of the visual theme from Thomas’s incoming volley: red on yellow, the circle, the layout, a quote from Frank Lloyd Wright. This shot and the one preceding it fit together like two parts of a whole.
The quote self-referentially describes the volley itself. There is less in this shot, but there feels like more.
It’s better. The type is better.* The layout is more clear. Even the shade of red — the only thing that has changed about the circle — is better.
This is the sort of shot that wins a match. This has been a great match, from both players, but all of a sudden I can’t think of any volley other than this one.

Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday.
