For today's match Mark Greenberg is composing and arranging a musical score as layer-by-layer commentary. We'll be adding his track to the animated sequence of photos that we'll post for each layer. Meanwhile, Bryan "The Ref" Bedell will chime in here and there with other pertinent comments.
A decent photographer can walk around all day and shoot and shoot and go home and root through his cards and find a few great images. But can they guarantee one great one every fifteen minutes, on schedule, and then find Wi-Fi and get it to Chicago in time? Sam was cutting it close this time, but he nailed another great shot. It takes a special eye to find brief flashes of order and symmetry in the anarchy of a big city, but both Sam and Naz continue to impress.
Which is to say nothing of Mark, who may have all the comforts of his studio, but is working (at least) twice as hard to keep up, since he must respond to all ten volleys with only a couple minutes to react and compose, Neil Young-style.
Congratulations to Mig Reyes, Layer Tennis Season 3 Champion.

Cast your votes on The Championship Match. Both Finalists will receive invitations to play in the post-season tournament for Season Four.
Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday.
