Clean Up On Aisle 8

Mr Bruhn digs through the macaroni decorated soup can on his desk and pulls out a sharp Number 2 pencil. An unscheduled critique will certainly help clean the cruft out of this design, won’t it? Although each of the previous volleys have been reasonably coherent when viewed individually, this overlay displays the ragamuffin’ish state of a character set that been bounced between two continents. If nothing else, there’s consistency in its inconsistency.

This merits asking whether Peter’s hastily jotted notes are to be considered suggestions for Mark’s next volley. Or are meant to remind him to apply very specific (read: sneaky) techniques to his final serve? Hmmm ...

Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Grant Hutchinson.
