Its nice how we go right through the R and the G and the B in Scotts little journey across the country lane. If it wasnt for the synth track Id be thinking Wind and the Willows about now.
OK be honest, how many of you have come up with a sweet design for a logo or something and then written a brilliant project brief about the assignment AFTER the creative work was already done? Yeah us too. We're massively good rationalizers. All those years we were doing client work it might have been our greatest talent. Anyhow, that's kind of what doing this layer-by-layer commentary is like. Writing the brief after the work is done. While it's pretty easy to crack wise, the main fear is that you'll miss something bindingly obvious in the heat of the moment.
It's gotta be the same for the players, and perhaps that's why some matches take a while to find any kind of mood or narrative. Don't get me wrong, so far things are all neat and tidy. Nice is nice. But I'm starting to feel like our little amphibifriends might have to meet a speeding Tennessee ATV or something to get this thing moving. Shaun, any of those around Signal Mountain?
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Jim Coudal.
