Isn't it weird how dogs are trendy? Back in the Benji days, everyone I knew had a Schnauzer.
Where did all those Schnauzers go? Then it was German Shepherds in the late 80s, then Golden Labs in the early 90s, then Pit Bulls and Greyhounds, then Pugs and Chihuahuas. Is it kinda f-ed up that there are dog trends?
Anyway, I'm digging this volley. The photo is a bit "soft" as the photo nerds call it, if those eyes were in crisp focus it woulda helped. But I like the logo, a lot, and salmon-and-charcoal is an old favorite color combination that works every time.
In fact, I kinda have a rule, or gimmick, for design, it's to never use basic colors, ever. Like take Christmas. Sure you gotta use red and green, but maybe go with tomato red and olive green, or forest green and rhodamine red. And never use black, especially on a 2-color job, when you can use charcoal, or chocolate brown, or midnight blue. So if you're looking at orange and black, why not salmon and charcoal? Beauty.
What kinda car does Gary drive when he's not piloting the DDC Econoline? A Dachshund 280ZX. Sorry, that sucked.
SOUNDTRACK:
If this stays on the Van thing, I'm going to have to go to the Descendents sooner or later. But for now, how about another Van, Van Conner, and another one of indie rock's greatest EPs in it's entirety: Beat Happening/Screaming Trees side one and side two.
Oh, wait, we're not on the van thing anymore. I'm losing it. Three Tylenol PM, but that was all, I'm serious. But that's a great record anyway and I can't think of any good Schnauzer records and I ain't linking up "Private Eyes" or "Somebody's Watching Me."
