The sad thing is, I didn't just think of it now. When you're a type nerd AND a design nerd, you can hear Big Black's "Cables" and think about ITC Kabel. Dumb crap like that happens to me every day.
This, of course, is a glammed-up version of the Draplin/Glass Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery logo. I'm not sure if this is public knowlege (or even true) but though there was some collaboration going on, the TIGER logo was allegedly sorta Draplin's baby. (I could confirm that, but then if I was wrong I'd have to make something else up.) Kabel's sort of Futura-esque, and it was orange and black, so it makes sense, right?
