"There is 1% that explosively changes the landscape." So said the opening quotation. And this volley just rocked the geography like an atomic bomb. Turned the whole match on its ear, as they say.
On the last volley, I wondered if there was a plan for them pixels, or whether it was just a feign. Now we see that BDiF knew exactly what they were doing all along. It wasn't a big bluff, it was a big bluff. On its side. With a waterfall cascading over its edge, and a pool of water at its feet An Adobe Flash™ flood, if you will.
We often see a sharp break with precedence around the middle of a Layer Tennis match, and this volley shakes things up pretty good. And it's always a delight to see the old motifs creep back into the subsequent returns, as the designers fold the new material into the pre-existing narrative. ISO50 has a challenge ahead of him, but I'd put his odds of his succeeding closer to "every time" than "60%.
