One of my favorite films in childhood (hell, in nowhood) was Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land, in which our fowlish friend travels a landscape filled with geometric shapes. I feel like this volley is a window into that world, with stars and gridlines peeking through the text. Perhaps that landscape is the very one that the 1% will explosively change.
(Incidentally, the duck is the unofficial mascot for But Does it Float. Don't you love the way I am tying everything together, here?)
Mathematics, of course, is the foundation of design, as well as music. And speaking of music, if you'd like a little musical accompaniment for you Layer Tennis match, open up iso50.com/iso50.html in a browser tab and enjoy the soothing sounds of Tycho as you follow along. And do you know who Tycho is? It's Scott Motherlovin' Hansen, the same guy who just sent that shot over the net. Man, I hate being the least talented guy on the domain.
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Matthew Baldwin.
