John Gruber's Layer 7 Commentary

Beaten

Stop hitting yourself. Stop hitting yourself.

Something up here in the Commentators Booth has been making my eyes water all afternoon. Quite frankly it’s a serious stench. Ends up my colleague Josh Allen left half a hoagie sitting under a table in the corner a year ago (next to an empty bottle of whiskey, natch).

As for Dawes’s volley: Impressive technically — keep in mind the 15-minute alottment per shot — but what does it mean? My impression is that Kalmikoff’s last shot rattled Dawes. Is he sticking with Flash because it makes for a strong play, or is he sticking with Flash because if he doesn’t, it’ll look like he abandoned it in the face of Kalmikoff’s mockery? This feels like the latter.

It actually works as a sort of game. Reload the page to start it over and note that you can drag the SkinnyCorp logo around too — try to keep it from getting hit by the machete. But there isn’t much artistic value to any of it other than the background.

Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by John Gruber.
