Before we address Kox's hand-sung soundtrack, the giant flying pink taunt, the monster-now-constellation flying laterally through space -- before all that output, let's take a break for some reader commentary:
(Remember, the question was, what are your three words of advice for Hutch?)
Kevin H: "Sword fires back"
Op 6: "FLIP THE SWITCH"
August Trometer: "Eat more salami"
Sam: "Artistry, Subtlety, Detail"
GuessHimself: "stop, drop, clown"
Rosecrans: "Go Barack Obama!"
Alright, that was completely useless, but entertaining! (August Trometer? Seriously? Brothers from another mother or somesuch.) My take is: not bad; not beautiful, but not bad. Outer space I get. The taunting call-out (which Kox swears he had in place before he even saw Hutch's last shot) is a big tease. And the little pink triangles have an obvious political agenda. Love to see a little politics thrown in. But am I blown away, like the time John Gruber got the Woz to tatt his thatch with a stylus? Not as much.
I contacted Master Kox, he vows to include more singing in future frames. Please suggest lyrics to my email. Note, though, in case I seem too sided toward Kox (truth), someone just asked me who I'm gunning for, and my bias is big on Hutch to win. Money down.
