Granted, there are only 10 or 15 minutes between plays. Given, the files are enormous, the rendering crunches slowly, there must be time for thinking, reflection, execution, correction, uploading. And boosh.
But people, I am not here to make friends with luminaries of the online link world. I serve you, gentle farmers of the web-design caste, shackled to expensive Swedish chairs. And I say: say what?
Kox gave us a sweet jarring shift, and Hutch responds with puff clouds on top. Where are new elements that push instead of just respond? Granted, I dig the switch in style, the hand-drawn edges and the cartoon appeal. But oh I want more -- and we, serfs as we are, have surfed Hutch's work before and seen magnificence! In particular, wit!
Tell the whole world truth is back, is what I want to hear from Hutch next. But will Kox give him the chance?
Daring Fireball just left for the bathroom. I poured white paint all over his Macbook Air. Props, by the way, to Peter W. for "flamingo rockets" to translate pink lasers. Should also note, and no joke, that a viewer who is a network analyst for Playboy wrote: "A pink laser is also known as a 'penis.'" Question of the moment: If you had three words of advice for Hutch (including, "don't listen rosecrans"), what would they be?
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by Rosecrans Baldwin.
