There was no way for Glass to compete on terms of extravagance or even cleverness with Inman's mile-wide finale, so he went for eloquence and he got it: a nice photo and a simple message.
It's a close match on my card. I've got Glass on rounds won, but Inman with an edge on total points thanks to his epic #9. But one aspect of gamesmanship where Glass has shined brightest is in the intermingling of imagery and themes from both matches. I miss that damn drinking glass, though.
There's a certain poignancy to Glass's decidedly analog Scotch-tape-and-paper approach to the game -- a dinosaur technique in the age of digital mammals.

My thanks to Coudal Partners for having me back, to Dr. Rosenrosen for sharing the booth with me today, and to all four players for two matches well played. The forum is open and active; jump in to offer your thoughts on who won (both matches), your own astute observations and analysis, and to help me figure out which previous Layer Tennis commentator wore my mustard yellow Official Layer Tennis Commentator blazer and left the lapels stained with bacon grease and the pockets stuffed with danish. (Cough, Joshua Allen.)
Play by play commentary for this match is provided, as it happens, by John Gruber.

Cast your votes on The Championship Match. Both Finalists will receive invitations to play in the post-season tournament for Season Four.
Here's how the voting works. Decide who you'd like to declare as winner and then simply tweet their first name following a hash mark. Either #mig or #noper and, this is important, also include #lyt in that tweet. We'll leave the voting open all weekend and announce our Season Three Champion on Monday.
