Play-By-Play Commentary

Post-Post-Rock

Ah, silly me, the crabs weren't threatening Bucky, they were cheering for him. And there's Big Jill with Bjorn Borg's hair (TVM's tennis reference, not mine!), and a little brainy dude playing tambourine with a scimitar. Or is that a movement line?. Those are clearly Guitar Hero SGs, but there just wasn't time to draw frets and strings, I guess. If this was a sellout nod to my need to tie everything into music, it worked, I really dig it.

This being the eighth volley (do the math, look it up in Meggs), there are only two volleys left. James gets his last say in a few minutes, and Beater gets the chance to bring it all home. I don't think we've seen a single subpar volley this whole match, I've not had much time to skim the forums, but I don't think we've got any idea who will win the trip to Bermuda, and who will get a years' supply of Turtle Wax. (See what I did there? GAME SHOW reference! I think that's a first!) By the way, with a car, a motorcycle, and three motorscooters, all immaculately maintained, I probably use more Turtle Wax than most people, and I think I've been rocking the same tin for close to four years now. So a year's supply of Turtle Wax is a total bullshit prize.

OT: Speaking of motormocycles, just heard Evel Kneivel is dead. A moment of silence, please.

Soundtrack to this volley: Bucky and the Cumquats are clearly playing "Takin' It to the Streets" by the Doobie Brothers. You can just tell by the tambourine rythym. Sometime, remind me to tell you all my Fake-Skunk-Baxter story. (The peanut gallery is suggesting "Won't Get Fooled Again" for the windmills and the Melvins for Buzzo's hair, both fine suggestions)
