Play-By-Play Commentary

Traditional Values

Can it be? David has not only recovered but he has made an amazing readjustment in what could have been a disastrous strategy. Rejecting the layered pixilated anarchy of his initial volley, he has turned back to traditional image-making. And by so doing he has impressively resurrected the digested cat, reincarnating it in a majestic form. What brass! What determination. Drap's once dominant hound is now a speed shadow of its former self, slinking off into the left side of the frame, dejected, afraid, lonely... I can only repeat, what a brilliant return.

In making this volley David has also recovered the respect and admiration of the orthodox Modernists joining me in the commentator's booth. It rates high with the playful wit practiced by Rand, Thompson, Beall, and Lionni (look 'em up in Meggs!!!).

So what's left for Drap. Can he make the necessary come back. Will he find a metallic dog to combat the brass cat. Will the world come to an end, or just this layered tennis match (as we know it)? Stay tuned.
