Play-By-Play Commentary

Honk

Cornell hasn't missed a shot yet. Nice layout, and a clever twist.

It's a confident play, that's for sure. Helvetica, grid-based layout, and information design - this is Inman's home turf. Yet with the color, the sheep, and the circles, it's clearly derived from the previous shot. I think Cornell is caricaturing Inman's design aesthetic here - Cornell isn't just referencing the previous volleys, but also Inman's style as a designer.

But sending the ball back to Inman like this might be playing right into his strength. You throw a fastball high and inside, you better bring the heat.

Also, am I the only one futilely attempting to read the text of the marginalia in the columns on the right?

You know how at the end of the NCAA basketball tourney CBS airs a retrospective montage? Yeah, it's sorta like that, only with better music. jc-07.10
